2016 Love Bag Project

Home / 2016 Love Bag Project

We are preparing for our Annual Love Bag Project where we provide orphans & vulnerable children, youth, grandparents, our carers and patients in Khayelitsha with a wonderful bag filled with Christmas goodies.

There are many ways to lend a hand! Should you or your organisation wish to be involved, please contact Bobby Teichert at bobby@iklethemba.co.za or on 071 28 00 725.

Each year, as part of our regular initiatives, we host annual end of year Christmas functions where we bless each program participant with a wonderful bag filled with Christmas goodies. Our Love Bags, similar to the Santa Shoebox Project, are filled with necessities such as back to school stationery and school shoes for our children as well as our youth. For our elderly we include non-perishable food items which assist in support of their household over the holiday season. Hygiene products are also included as well as a special toy or treat just for them.

Ikhaya Le Themba's Love Bag Project aims to raise R300 000 this year which will go towards the gift bags, year-end functions, transport, food and entertainment for all our program initiatives including: OVC, Youth, Grannies, HBC patients and Staff.

Please refer to the table below for a full list of the items we require or feel free to contact us if you would like to find out more information about this project. The “Love Bags” project will provide your organisation with marketing opportunities and a fun event for staff to volunteer their time and goodwill. Each “Love Bag” costs approximately R300.

There are many ways to lend a hand! Should your organisation wish to be involved, please contact Bobby Teichert at bobby@iklethemba.co.za or on 071 28 00 725.
