We are proud to announce that we have 50 entries into the 2017 Old Mutual Two Oceans Half Marathon! Since 1998, runners have turned out in their numbers to enjoy the atmosphere of the Half Marathon and to support their friends running in the Ultra Marathon.
We will have a minimum of 50 runners form part of Team Ikhaya Le Themba and encourage you to come and Run Your Heart Out!
The 2017 Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon will be celebrating their 20th year and we are excited to be part of such a beautiful race. There is such a vibe created the evening before the race as we share a nutritious meal at Life Cafe in Sunningdale where kit and goodie bags will be handed out. We will also be sharing the heart of IKLT and our initiatives. All funds will go towards operational costs and various initiatives throughout the year. Our heart is to love and care for people. We know that the heartbeat of Jesus is for the poor and vulnerable, and it is this foundation that we have spent the past 13 years building on. Being an outreach ministry of a local Cape Town based church, we seek to honour God and live out authentic Christianity in everyday life. We are passionately committed to loving Jesus, fellowship, serving and reaching out to others.
Each entry costs R1 017, this will include: Your Old Mutual Two Oceans Half Marathon (21.1km) race fee; a Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon and Ikhaya Le Themba goodie bag; a branded running shirt; A pre-race meal and access to an Ikhaya Le Themba competition where runners can raise funds by selling tickets to win amazing prizes sponsored by McPherson's Group of Companies.
Entries will be secured on receiving full payment of race fees.
To help runners raise funds we will have a competition to win prizes which will range from a night away for two including dinner, bubbly and breakfast, romantic dinner for two as well as 4 vouchers for two to Sunday Lunch up for grabs.
Special running tops will be designed for the event, all runners will receive a quality shirt and will also have the option to order running shorts at an additional cost.
