Indalo Natural Local Together PTY (Ltd) was established in 2015. With a strong business model and a vision to empower the local community in business skills, we have big dreams for this company.

The ‘business-hub’ is based in Cape Town, but small enterprises can run from local communities throughout the Southern/Western Cape. Our heart is to grow to a nationwide business, overflowing to international markets.

Indalo Pty Ltd is Level 4, BBEEE compliant with 51% black ownership by 2017. Overseeing Indalo as an umbrella-business is a board of directors who manage business decision-making and change.

Part of the business model is to create enterprise opportunities to selected individuals from poor communities. These individuals will go through a series of skills and enterprise development, mentoring and preparation to run small franchised enterprises (Indalo business model) in their communities. This will potentially create more job opportunities for the local community.

The overall objective of Indalo is to see communities transformed, empowered and enabled.

The Indalo Skin Care range is 100% natural and chemically free. These products were originally developed to help the Ikhaya Le Themba Home Based Care patients who were suffering from skin conditions while bed ridden. We quickly discovered the benefits of the products and now have a range of 13 products including a baby and sensitive skin range. The products are made from Beeswax, Olive oil, Macadamia oil and essential oils, great for dry and eczema prone skin. The healing properties also aid in restoring skin after a scape or mild burn.

Indalo Micro-greens is a branch off the Community Gardens, the quality of produce being grown earns the praise of top restaurants in Cape Town. Our vision is to supply produce on consignment to businesses requiring fresh A-grade micro-greens. The gardeners take pride in the produce that they lovingly care for.

Hungry Tummy Packs are non perishable family food packs consisting of rice, soya mince and dehydrated vegetables. Each pack when cooked provides a meal for 2 adults and four children. The teams preparing the packs earn an income, enabling them to provide for their families. Ikhaya le Themba distributes Hungry Tummy packs to 500 orphans and vulnerable children, the Gogo Group, patients and carers. We believe this is the best long term solution to address poverty in South Africa – socio economic empowerment that has long term results!
